Dog Sitting Agreement
By booking with Bed & Biscuit Cottage, you agree to the following terms and conditions. We strongly encourage you to grab a cuppa and read each condition below.
Veterinary Care: Every precaution will be taken to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your dog while in our care. In the event that emergency veterinary treatment is required, we will make every effort to contact you immediately. If you cannot be reached, we reserve the right to authorise veterinary treatment on your behalf. All veterinary costs incurred will be at your expense. We strongly recommend ensuring your dog is covered by pet insurance prior to their stay.
Liability: Bed & Biscuit Cottage is not responsible for any accidents, illness, or injury that may occur during your dog's stay. By booking, you agree not to hold Bed & Biscuit Cottage liable for any such incidents. We are also not responsible for any lost, damaged, or destroyed personal items belonging to you or your dog.
Health Requirements: For the safety and wellbeing of all dogs in our care, your dog must meet the following requirements prior to their stay:
-
Current C5 vaccination certificate, dated within the last 12 months and at least 2 weeks prior to their stay
-
Up to date tick prevention, flea and worming treatments
-
Free from illness, including no coughing within the last 7 days
-
No open wounds, stitches, or recovery from recent surgery
-
Free from any contagious conditions or diseases
Please provide your dog's current C5 vaccination certificate before or at drop off. This can be done via email or text.
Suitability & Behaviour: Your dog must be friendly, sociable, and have no history of aggression toward other dogs or humans. We do not provide socialisation training, so your dog must already be comfortable interacting with other dogs and people. Please disclose any known behavioural issues at the time of booking.
We do not accept the following:
-
Intact (undesexed) males
-
Females currently on heat
-
Dogs showing signs of illness or injury
-
Dogs with contagious conditions
Our own dogs are desexed. We do accept undesexed females, however it is entirely the owner's responsibility should an unplanned pregnancy occur.
Owner Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the behaviour of your dog while in our care. Any damage caused by your dog to property or other animals will be your responsibility.
Trial Visit: Before any longer overnight booking, we require a trial night for first-time guests. This gives us the chance to see how your dog settles into our home and gets along with our own pups.
Our dogs' happiness and comfort is our top priority, so the trial works both ways. It's just as much about making sure everyone gels as it is about giving your dog a great experience. If we feel it's not the right fit during the trial, we'll let you know honestly rather than push ahead with a longer stay.
Not able to do a trial overnight? No worries, we're always happy to arrange a meet and play in a neutral setting first.
We'll always be upfront with you about what we think is best for your dog.
Cancellation Policy: Availability at Bed & Biscuit Cottage is very limited, so we recommend booking well in advance, particularly over Public Holidays and the Christmas period. Please notify us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.
